2-night visit with guided walk in the Reserve

Suggested stay is 2-3 nights.

Morning pick-up by service guide at your San José hotel for a 4-1/2 hour drive to Monteverde. The first 2-1/2 hours are on the Pan-American Highway and the last 2 hours are on a winding gravel road (no guide provided for this portion). Arrive at Monteverde hotel in time for lunch on your own. (Checkout time in Costa Rica is 2 p.m., so you may have to wait to check into your room.) Dinner and overnight at Monteverde Lodge or alternative. Following day, join morning excursion (of up to 10 people) to Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve accompanied by Monteverde Guide from the Reserve, or by a Syracuse Tours Service Guide.
Return to your hotel at mid-day. Afternoon on your own. After lunch on the third day, drive approximately 4-1/2 hours back to San José.
