Enjoy a half day of horseback riding in the scenic countryside of Quepos, full of traditional crops and cattle ranches. Do not forget your swimsuit to take a dip in the pool of a beautiful waterfall along the road. For the birdwatchers, we recommend taking the horseback ride during the afternoon. Nauyaca Waterfalls:
Two hours by car from Quepos, you arrive to the entrance of the trail where your breakfast awaits. After breakfast a 45 minute walk takes you to the waterfall where you will be able to enjoy the clear waters and take photographs. After a swim, relish a delicious lunch.
In search of Dolphins:
Take a boat ride and be marveled by the mysterious islands which form part of this national park and where numerous species of shorebirds and their young are to be found. Count the variety of dolphins and whales which proliferate behind the islands while learning interesting facts about the national park and the Quepos Indians.
Kayaking the Damas Island Estuary:
Paddle the smooth protected inland waterways and explore the unique ecosystem of an island mangrove. Abundant with wildlife, the Damas area also offers a swimming beach and a great seafood restaurant for lunch.

Manuel Antonio National Park:
Manuel Antonio National Park is deservedly the most popular park in Costa Rica with beautiful white sand beaches surrounded by emerald waters and jungle. Our naturalist guides will explain the history and geography of the area as well as help you get the most of your visit, pointing out sloths, monkeys, iguanas, and a multitude of insects and birds during this very informative three hour walk.

Carara National Park :
This 4700-hectare reserve is the northern most tropical wet forest on the Pacific Coast and is accessible within a 90 minute drive from Quepos. Surrounded by agricultural land, it forms an oasis for wildlife from a large surrounding area. This tour offers a two and a half hour hike with a naturalist guide through the richly biodiversity reserve as well as a chance to see the sweeping rice fields, African palm plantations and local cattle ranching. In addition to the wildlife inside the reserve, large crocodiles can often be spotted in the Rio Tarcoles adjacent to the Park.

Manuel Antonio coastal paddle :
This is a more challenging open ocean paddle along the rugged coastline from Quepos to the Manuel Antonio National Park. Paddle by islands that are nesting sites for unique coastal birdlife including boobies and frigatebirds, visit the secluded Biesanz Bay and surf kayak at Espadilla beach. A 'Tico' style lunch is hosted at the end of the tour, near the entrance to the national park.

Rafting the Rapids on the Savegre River:
This full-day adventure kicks off with a 4-wheel drive trip into the remote valley that is home to the Rio Savegre. Perfect for all experience levels, the river offers an exciting selection of class II, III, and IV rapids as well as pristine waterfalls, swimming holes, and a remarkable variety of birds including egrets, toucans, osprey, parrots, kingfishers and cormorants. A "Tico" style lunch is hosted at the local small village.

Rafting the rapids on the Naranjo River:
A class III/IV half day challenge for more experienced paddlers, this river drops steeply from the mountains above Quepos, through a beautiful jungle gorge and takes you on a wild ride to sea level by farmlands and palm plantations. Water levels can rise quickly, increasing the difficulty of the rapids, so rafters should be physically fit and adventurous. Fruit snacks are provided during the adventure.

Carara Biological Reserve:
One hour from Quepos, includes a two hour hike on trails where you will appreciate the flora and fauna of the reserve. Ideal for those who arrived in Quepos by airplane and did not have the opportunity to see the beauties along the road from San José to Quepos. Entrance fee, snacks and lunch included.
Outrigger Canoeing:
Pristine Beaches and calm seas await you on the Rafting the Ocean experience. You will paddle next to spectacular cliffs, in a guided 40-foot long outrigger canoe with 8 paddlers plus a guide in each canoe, to a secluded beach. Maybe even take a dip in the deep blue sea along the way. The warm waters of the Pacific are home to a large variety of tropical fish that are looking forward to swimming with you as you snorkel and explore the underwater world with your guide. Relax on the beach, as lunch is prepared, surfside. Optional hikes make this a great day for everyone, before paddling back to the starting point where you can shower, change and enjoy refreshments before your return to San Jose. Snorkeling only when conditions permit. Minimum 6 persons from San Jose. Minimum 4 persons from Jaco Beach. It can be locally consolidated. Minimum of age, 4 years old. Included: comfortable round-trip transportation from local hotels. Morning snack and picnic style lunch are provided. Top of the line paddling equipment is used.
