ride on the Sarapiquí River:
Ride from one to three hours on this river in a boat
with a roof and capacity for 25 persons. It embarks
from Puerto Viejo downstream and offers the possibility

in the La Selva Biological Research Station:
Walking through the forest of Selva Verde accompanied

the rain forest, the Arenal volcano and lake, as well
as a mountain road on bicycle, this ride offers an

approximately four hours. Includes transportation,
assisting vehicle, bicycles, snacks, drinks, water

in the area:

the forest of this region from a completely different

Venado
Caverns:
The
caverns were formed in the Miocene period some fifteen
to twenty million years ago. For a long time they
were submerged in the depths of the ocean, however,
due to the movement of tectonic plates, the caverns
rose to form part of the surface. Discover in one
visit the limestone rock, stalactites, stalagmites
and corals which make up the caves. Located only an
hour from La Fortuna, these caverns offer an unforgettable
underground mystical adventure. If you're ready to
get wet and muddy and to see amazing stalactites,

| Boat
ride on the Arenal Lake:
The Arenal Lake is the largest and most important
lake of the country, an artificial lake built in 1974
for the purpose of producing hydroelectric energy.
In this area you will find a huge variety of resident
and migratory birds, and mammals like the monkeys
and sloths. Riding on the lake you will observe the
west side of Arenal Volcano and flashes of eruptions
when the sky around the peak of the cone is clear.

Hike to the Arenal Volcano:
Our Arenal Volcano hike through the rainforest is
one of the best ways to experience the mighty "Mountain
of Fire." Hike through the diverse flora and
fauna to the famous lava wall where you will walk
on lava rocks from ancient times and observe lava
boulders tumbling down the flanks of Arenal. You
could get the chance to see the glowing cinders
from the crater and hear the booms from gas eruptions
as your professional guide educates you on the activity
and history of the marvelous volcano. A dip in the
Tabacon Resort hot springs after the hike is available
upon request (entrance fee to Tabacon Resort is
not included).

to the security speech we start the trip, the first
miles are full of exciting rapids with technical difficulties

For lovers of rafting and nature. Challenging rapids,
big vertical canyon, thermal water, technical. 9.95
